The Office of the District Judge, Etawah in Uttar Pradesh is inviting applications for the re-engagement of 25 retired employees — 17 Class IV and 8 Class III vacant posts. If you retired from any district court in Uttar Pradesh on or before 30 June 2026, you can apply offline using the prescribed application form. The last date to submit your application is 27 July 2026, by 5:00 PM. Your monthly pay will be the principal amount of your last drawn salary minus your pension.

Etawah District Court Re-engagement of Retired Employees 2026 - 25 Posts

The District Judge, Etawah has issued Order No. 173, dated 13 July 2026, calling for applications from retired Class III (clerical) and Class IV (subordinate staff) employees to rejoin the district court on a re-engagement basis. This is being done in compliance with the Allahabad High Court's circular No. 14/Admin 'D' Section dated 15 October 2022, which permits district courts across Uttar Pradesh to temporarily fill vacant support-staff posts with recently retired employees while regular recruitment is completed. Retired employees from other district courts in Uttar Pradesh can also apply for these Etawah posts, provided they submit their character roll (ACR) records for the last five years along with the application.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Class IV Cadre (Subordinate Staff): 17 posts
• Class III Cadre (Clerical Staff): 8 posts

Class III staff typically handle clerical, record-keeping and ministerial work in the court, while Class IV staff support day-to-day court operations in subordinate roles. Apply for the cadre that matches your last held post before retirement.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligibility: You must be a retired Class III or Class IV employee of a district court in Uttar Pradesh, having retired on or before 30 June 2026.
• From Etawah District Court: If you retired from the Etawah District Court itself, you can apply directly with your details and last post held.
• From other district courts: If you retired from a different UP district court, you must attach self-attested photocopies of your Annual Confidential Report (ACR)/character roll for the last five years along with your application.
• You must mention your applied post (Class III or Class IV), last post held, and complete personal details in the application form.
• Applicants must be medically fit to work and should have no pending criminal case against them, as per the declaration in the application form.

Age Limit

• There is no separate minimum age — you simply need to have already retired from government service to apply.
• Your re-engagement tenure will run until you turn 65 years old, or for one year, or until a new appointee/promotee takes over the post — whichever comes first.

Salary

• Your monthly pay will be the principal amount of your last drawn salary minus your monthly pension — so your actual take-home amount depends on your individual pay and pension at retirement.
• No separate DA, HRA or other allowances are mentioned in this notice.

Selection Process

This notice does not mention a written exam or interview. Selection is expected to be based on:

1. Document Verification: Your application form, last pay certificate, final pension certificate, and (if applicable) your ACR records will be checked by the Administrative Office of the District Judge, Etawah.

How to Apply

1. Get the prescribed application proforma attached with this notice (also pasted on the court notice board).
2. Fill in your personal details — name, father's name, date of birth, date of retirement, applied post, permanent and correspondence address, and mobile number/email ID.
3. Attach a self-attested photograph, your last pay certificate, and your final pension certificate for the last post you held.
4. If you retired from a district court other than Etawah, also attach self-attested photocopies of your ACR for the last five years.
5. Sign the declaration confirming your details are true, that you are medically fit, and that you have no pending criminal case.
6. Submit your filled application at the Administrative Office, District Judge, Etawah by 5:00 PM on 27 July 2026.
