Who Can Apply?

Specialist Posts

  • Qualification: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university.
  • Experience: You need 3 years experience after PG Degree or 5 years experience after PG Diploma.
  • Accident and Emergency Specialist: MBBS followed by MD/MS in Emergency Medicine or similar specialty such as Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia, or General Surgery with the required experience.

Senior Resident Against GDMO

  • Qualification: PG Degree, PG Diploma, or MBBS from a recognised university.
  • Experience: MBBS candidates need at least 2 years working experience in the same discipline.
  • Preference: PG Degree or Diploma qualified candidates get preference.

Senior Resident Under 3-Year Scheme

  • Qualification: PG Degree or PG Diploma in the same discipline.
  • Registration: You must be registered with the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council or MCI before joining.

Age Limit

  • Full Time / Part Time Specialist: Maximum 69 years on the date of interview.
  • Senior Resident: Maximum 45 years on the date of interview.
  • Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC, and Ex-serviceman candidates get relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

  • Full Time Specialist - Level 11 Junior Specialist: Rs. 1,41,899 per month plus transport allowance with DA on TA.
  • Full Time Specialist - Level 12 Senior Specialist: Rs. 1,65,165 per month plus transport allowance with DA on TA.
  • Part Time Specialist: Fixed Rs. 60,000 for 16 hours per week, plus Rs. 15,000 for emergency visits and Rs. 800 per hour beyond 16 hours.
  • Senior Resident Against GDMO: Rs. 1,11,976 per month at Level 10, plus transport allowance with DA on TA.
  • Senior Resident 3-Year Scheme: Rs. 67,700 as per Level 11 of the 7th CPC plus allowances. Diploma holders may have Rs. 1,350 reduced.

  • UR / OBC: Rs. 300 by demand draft.
  • SC / ST: Rs. 75 by demand draft.
  • PWD and Female candidates: No fee.
  • Demand draft should be in favour of ESI FUND ACCOUNT NO. 1, payable at State Bank of India, Kanpur, UP.

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview and certificate verification.

  1. Prior Appointment: Candidates should fix an appointment with Mr. Kumar Subodh Prasad, Assistant Director (Admin), before appearing for interview.
  2. Reporting: Report at ESIC Hospital Jajmau, Kanpur between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM on 14 May 2026.
  3. Document Verification: Original documents and one Xerox copy will be checked.
  4. Interview: The selection board will assess eligibility and suitability for the specialty.
  5. Joining: Selected candidates have to join within 7 days from the selection order.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist consultation and treatment in the assigned ESIC department
  • Manage outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and referral cases as per hospital duty roster
  • Supervise clinical work, ward rounds, and patient care documentation
  • Assist with procedures, diagnostics, and specialty-specific treatment planning
  • Guide junior doctors, residents, nurses, and support staff during clinical duties
  • Maintain medical records and follow ESIC hospital protocols
  • Participate in emergency duty, case review, and departmental reporting when assigned

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

PG Degree/Diploma in concerned specialty; MBBS with 2 years experience for SR against GDMO; A&E Specialist needs MBBS plus relevant MD/MS

Preferred Qualification

PG Degree or Diploma preferred for Senior Resident against GDMO; UP Medical Council or MCI registration is mandatory before joining
