Who Can Apply?

• Medical Qualification: You must have passed MD Pediatrics, Post Graduate Diploma in Pediatrics, or DNB Pediatrics from a Government of India recognised university as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• Experience: You need 2 years work experience in a government, semi-government, or other institution.
• Registration: You must be registered under the Gujarat Medical Council Act, 1967.
• Computer Knowledge: You should have computer knowledge as required under Gujarat service rules.
• Language: You should have proper knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old as on the last date of application.
• Maximum age is 35 years as on 31 May 2026.
• General women candidates: Upper age relaxation of 5 years.

Salary

Selection Process

BMC will call shortlisted candidates for written test or oral test based on the rules in the notification.

1. Merit Shortlisting: For Pediatrician, the merit list for written/oral test will be prepared based on the percentage of marks in the basic medical qualification.
2. Written Test: BMC may conduct the written test in Bhavnagar city. The final merit gives 90% weightage to written test marks.
3. Oral Test: The oral test carries 10% weightage in the final merit.
4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must show original certificates and required proofs when BMC asks for them.
