The Directorate of Health Services, Government of West Bengal has issued a notice for 23 candidates selected for appointment to the West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service under the Finance Department. If your name is on the list, you need to appear for your medical examination on 24 July 2026 at the Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata. This is not a new application process — only candidates already selected through the West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service Examination, 2022, need to attend.

West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service Medical Examination Notice 2026

The Finance Department (Audit Branch, WBA&AS Cell), Government of West Bengal, has finalized the list of 23 candidates selected on the basis of the West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service Examination, 2022. Before their final appointment, these candidates must clear a medical fitness examination conducted by the Standing Central Medical Board at Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata. No candidate will be allowed entry after 11:00 AM on the scheduled date.

This examination has been scheduled vide Memo No. 1336-F(Y)/WB dated 2 July 2026 issued by the Finance Department, Audit Branch, WBA&AS Cell, and forwarded through Memo No. HPT-23T-2026/4/MB dated 15 July 2026 issued by the Directorate of Health Services. What Does a West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service Officer Do?

Once appointed, officers in the West Bengal Audit & Accounts Service work under the Finance Department and are responsible for auditing government departments, verifying accounts and financial records, and ensuring compliance with state financial rules. It is a permanent, state cadre post — this medical examination is one of the final formalities before your appointment order is issued.

Medical Examination Details

1. Medical Examination: Held on 24 July 2026 (Friday) at 10:30 AM at the 1st floor Examination Hall, Academy Building, Medical College & Hospital, 88 College Street, Kolkata - 700073.

You need to deposit Rs. 25 at the Reserve Bank of India, a Government Treasury, or online at www.wbifms.gov.in as a service fee, and pay an additional Rs. 75 in cash as the medical examination fee at the venue.

Documents to Bring for the Medical Examination

Carry both original documents and self-attested photocopies wherever mentioned. Incomplete documentation may delay your medical clearance, so prepare these in advance:

1. Certificate from a competent Eye Specialist showing the current condition of your eyes (with lens power, if any).
2. Pathological report of urine (R/E) from a competent pathologist.
3. Chest X-ray report with plate from a competent radiologist (exempted during pregnancy).
4. Two recent passport size (3.5cm x 4.5cm) photographs.
5. One address proof with photo ID (Aadhaar card or Voter card) — original and self-attested photocopy.
6. Admit card of the examination — original and self-attested photocopy.
7. Original PH certificate with a self-attested photocopy, if you are a person with a disability.
