DME Tripura Dental Professor Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Tripura is hiring senior dental teachers for Agartala Government Dental College and IGM Hospital (AGDC), which works under the state's Health and Family Welfare Department. This drive fills Professor and Associate Professor posts across four dental specialities on a contract basis. • Associate Professor – Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics: reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
• Associate Professor – Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge: also reserved for ST candidates.
• Associate Professor – Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry: an unreserved post in children's dental care.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tripura domicile: The posts are meant for Indian nationals with Tripura state domicile, and a Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) is mandatory. This condition is relaxed only when no suitable state-domicile candidate is found for a post.
• Contract term: The engagement runs for 11 months and can be renewed further if your performance is satisfactory.
• ST-reserved posts: If no suitable ST/SC candidate is available, the post will go to a suitable UR candidate.
• Placement: The authority can shift any contract faculty member to any discipline at any time as the institution needs.
• Leave: Your leave will follow the TDES rules.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
