DIAT Research Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune — a deemed university under the Department of Defence Research and Development, Ministry of Defence — is holding a walk-in interview for a Research Associate (RA). The selected researcher joins the Department of Applied Physics on the institute-level project “Lead-Free Halide Perovskite Thin-Film Memristors for Resistive Switching and Neuromorphic Device Applications”, led by Prof. Tejashree Bhave.

This is a short project engagement: the notice fixes the tenure at four months or until the project ends, whichever comes first. It suits a Ph.D. holder in Applied Physics with hands-on nanomaterial synthesis work who wants to build experience in memristor and neuromorphic device research.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary engagement: The offer gives no right to absorption in DIAT, Pune, and it can be ended at any time on one month's notice.
• Consolidated stipend: The monthly stipend is a consolidated amount; the only extra benefit is MI Room medical facilities.
• Employed candidates: If you work in a government department, PSU or autonomous body, bring a No Objection Certificate from your present employer.
• No travel allowance: No TA is paid for attending the walk-in interview.
