Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (DHSGSU), Sagar has released advertisement number ANRF/ZOO/0626/91 for one Junior Research Fellow under the ANRF (Anusandhan National Research Foundation) funded PM-ECRG project titled "Functional Morphology and Defence of Ladybird Beetle Eggs: Evolutionary and Biocontrol Perspectives". This is a purely temporary and contractual position for the full duration of the project (3 years) and is a great chance for a science postgraduate who wants to build a research career and later pursue a Ph.D.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have an M.Sc. in Zoology or Biochemistry with a minimum of 55% marks.
• You must have qualified NET, GATE, or any other national-level examination as per ANRF guidelines.

Desirable Skills (Preferred)

• Hands-on knowledge of biochemical and molecular biology techniques such as spectrophotometry, HPLC, GC-MS, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and gene expression analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design using R, SPSS, SAS, or GraphPad Prism.
• Good communication, scientific writing, and presentation skills.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 28 years as on the last date of application (14 July 2026).
• Age relaxation, if any, will follow the applicable ANRF norms.

Salary

• Year 1 and Year 2: Rs. 37,000 per month plus 10% HRA.
• Year 3: Rs. 42,000 per month plus 10% HRA.
• The fellowship and other service conditions follow the prevailing ANRF norms, as amended from time to time.

Selection Process

Selection is done in two steps:

1. Shortlisting: The Principal Investigator and the University will shortlist candidates based on academic qualifications, research experience, and suitability for the project.
2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called for the interview. You must bring all original documents on the interview day. The interview will be held after 21 days from the advertisement date (around 20 July 2026) at the Department of Zoology, DHSGSU, Sagar.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Selection Committee is final.
