The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Tiruchirappalli, working under the Mission Vatsalya scheme, has invited applications for Project Coordinator and Supervisor posts on a one-year contract basis. Candidates with experience in Women and Child Development or Social Welfare are preferred. People who have worked in emergency helplines will get preference. Who Can Apply?

Project Coordinator — Rs. 28,000/month

• You need a Post Graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management from a recognised university.
• OR a Graduate degree in the same fields plus 2 years of experience in project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and supervision — preferably in Women and Child Development or Social Welfare.
• Computer proficiency is required. Preference is given to those with experience in emergency helplines.

Supervisor — Rs. 21,000/month

• You need a Graduate degree (10+2+3 pattern) in Social Work, Computer Science, Information Technology, Community Sociology, or Social Sciences from a recognised university.
• You must have computer proficiency and work experience.
• Preference is given to candidates with experience in emergency helplines.

Age Limit

• You must not have completed 42 years of age as on 1 May 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Candidates with prior experience in emergency helpline services may get a one-time age relaxation of up to 10 years (valid up to the end of financial year 2025-2026).

Salary

• Project Coordinator: Rs. 28,000 per month (consolidated)
• Supervisor: Rs. 21,000 per month (consolidated)

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Application Screening: Only complete applications with self-attested education and experience certificates will be considered. Incomplete applications will be rejected without notice.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for further selection by the District Child Protection Unit.
