District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS) Prakasam Recruitment 2026 - 25 Posts

The Directorate of Secondary Health (DSH), Andhra Pradesh has released Notification No. 01/2026 for filling 25 outsourcing posts in Community Health Centers and Area Hospitals across Prakasam district. These are Outsourcing/DSC positions spread across five categories — Record Assistant/MRA, Theatre Assistant, Office Subordinate, Post Mortem Assistant and General Duty Attendant (MNO/FNO). Only local candidates of the erstwhile Prakasam and Markapur districts are eligible to apply, and the merit list from this drive stays valid till 30 June 2027 to fill any future vacancies too. The initial tenure for these outsourcing posts is one year from your date of joining, and may be extended based on government orders from time to time.

Vacancy Breakdown

  • General Duty Attendant (MNO/FNO): 15 posts
  • Theatre Assistant: 4 posts
  • Office Subordinate: 3 posts
  • Record Assistant/MRA: 2 posts
  • Post Mortem Assistant: 1 post

These vacancy numbers are provisional and may go up or down depending on department needs at the time of filling. Posts are also earmarked category-wise (OC, SC, ST, BC-A/B/C/D/E and EWS) as per the roster points published in the official notification, so check the roster carefully for your reservation category before applying.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must have passed SSC/10th class or an equivalent exam from a recognized board — this is the same requirement for all five posts.
  • Domicile: You must be a local candidate of the erstwhile Prakasam or Markapur district, with study certificates from Class 4 to 10 (or a residence certificate) to prove it. Candidates who studied for 7 years preceding their SSC in these districts, or who migrated from Telangana with a valid local candidature certificate, are also treated as local.
  • Selection basis: No extra weightage is given for higher qualifications — your marks in the qualifying exam decide most of your score.
  • Jurisdiction: You can only apply for vacancies within the erstwhile Prakasam district boundary; candidates from other districts are considered non-local for this drive.

Age Limit

  • You should be up to 42 years old as on 30 June 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates get 5 years, Ex-servicemen get 3 years (plus their length of service in the armed forces), and differently abled candidates get 10 years.
  • The maximum age limit with all relaxations combined is 52 years.

Salary

  • All five posts carry a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 15,000 per month on an outsourcing basis.
  • This is a flat remuneration under the Outsourcing/DSC scheme — no separate pay scale or DA/HRA structure applies since these are outsourced engagements, not regular government posts.

Application Fee

  • OC candidates: Rs. 500
  • SC/ST/BC candidates: Rs. 300
  • Pay the fee through a demand draft in favour of the District Coordinator of Hospital Services, Ongole. If you want to apply for more than one post, you need a separate demand draft and a separate application for each post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam or interview — selection is entirely marks and merit based:

  1. Academic Marks (75%): Your aggregate marks across all years of your qualifying exam (SSC/10th or equivalent) form the bulk of your score, plus up to 10 marks for extra completed years after acquiring the required qualification.
  2. Service Weightage (up to 15%): Extra marks if you've already worked on Contract/Outsourcing/Honorarium basis, including COVID-19 service. You get 2.5 marks per six months for service in tribal areas, 2.0 marks per six months in rural areas, and 1.0 mark per six months in urban areas. If you rendered COVID-19 service for less than six months, you still get 0.8 marks per completed month.
  3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates — including service certificates for any weightage claimed — for verification before final appointment.

Note: The District Selection Committee reserves the right to terminate your engagement at any time without prior notice, as per government instructions.

How to Apply

  1. Download the application proforma from prakasam.ap.gov.in.
  2. Fill in the form carefully and attach self-attested copies of your certificates.
  3. Submit your completed application at the designated counters of the O/o DCHS, Prakasam on any working day.
  4. Collect an acknowledgment with a check-slip of your enclosures from the receiving desk — keep this safe as proof of submission.
