The Director of Secondary Health, through the District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS), Chittoor, has released Notification No. 02/2026 for 18 vacancies in District and Secondary Hospitals (DSH) of Chittoor district. All posts are on a contract or outsourcing basis for an initial period of one year. There is no written exam — you are selected on merit based on your qualifying exam marks plus service weightage. Freshers and experienced 10th-pass candidates can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Electrician (1 post)

• You must have passed SSC (10th) or its equivalent.
• You need a Diploma in Electrical trade or an ITI certificate in the electrical trade.

Plumber (1 post)

• You must have passed SSC (10th) or its equivalent from a recognised board.
• You need an ITI in Plumbing / Fitter / Mechanic trade from a recognised institution.

Lab Attendant (1 post)

• You must have passed SSC (10th) or its equivalent.
• You need a Lab Attendant Course or Intermediate (Lab Attendant Vocational Course) from the Board of Intermediate Education, AP, or a recognised institution.

Theatre Assistant, Post Mortem Assistant, GDA/MNO/FNO, Office Subordinate

• You must have passed SSC (10th class) or its equivalent from a recognised board.

Other Requirements

• You must be a local candidate of Andhra Pradesh as per the Presidential Order — study certificates from Class 1 to 10 are needed.
• A valid registration with the AP Para Medical Board / Allied Health Care Sciences is required wherever applicable.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 42 years old as on 01 July 2025.
• SC / ST / BC / EWS: 5 years age relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years relaxation in addition to the length of service in the armed forces.
• Persons with Disabilities: 10 years age relaxation.

Salary

• Electrician: Rs. 22,460 per month
• Plumber: Rs. 18,500 per month
• Theatre Assistant, Lab Attendant, Post Mortem Assistant, GDA/MNO/FNO, Office Subordinate: Rs. 15,000 per month
• The remuneration is as applicable from time to time under the contract/outsourcing rules of the AP Government.

Application Fee

• All candidates: Rs. 500 by Demand Draft in favour of the District Coordinator of Hospital Services, Chittoor.

• If you are eligible for more than one post, you must enclose a separate DD and apply separately for each post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit out of 100 marks:

1. Qualifying Exam Marks (75 marks): Based on the aggregate marks obtained across all years of your qualifying examination.
2. Experience Weightage (up to 10 marks): 1 mark for each completed year after acquiring the required qualification.
3. Service Weightage (up to 15 marks): For candidates working on contract/outsourcing/honorarium basis — 2.5 marks per six months in tribal areas, 2.0 marks in rural areas, and 1.0 mark in urban areas.

You must attach original service and study certificates to claim any weightage.

How to Apply

1. Download the application proforma from chittoor.ap.gov.in (available from 26 June 2026).
2. Fill in the form and attach two sets of self-attested certificates.
3. Enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 (PwD exempt) in favour of DCHS Chittoor.
4. Submit the filled application in person at the counters in the Office of the District Coordinator of Hospital Services, Chittoor.
5. Collect a dated acknowledgement as proof of submission before 5:30 PM on 4 July 2026.

Only physical (offline) applications are accepted. Applications sent through any other mode will not be entertained.

• Assist doctors and nurses in wards, operation theatres, and diagnostic areas as per your post
• Handle electrical, plumbing, or lab maintenance duties for the assigned post
• Keep the hospital premises, equipment, and work area clean and ready for use
• Support post-mortem and mortuary work when assigned to that post
• Move patients, samples, and records safely between hospital departments
• Follow hospital hygiene, safety, and infection-control rules at all times
• Stay at the assigned headquarters and work in shifts including night duty when needed
