The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), the government medical institute run under the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, has invited applications for 2 Junior Resident (Dentistry) posts on a contract basis for a period of one year. This is a good chance for fresh BDS graduates who want hands-on hospital and clinical experience while earning a solid monthly pay. All posts are purely temporary, and there is no claim to a regular appointment. ANIIMS also notes that it may increase, decrease, or cancel the notified vacancies at any stage of the selection.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) degree from a recognised institution.
• Internship: You should have completed your compulsory rotating internship.
• Registration: You need a valid registration certificate with the State or Central Dental Council.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India (or an Overseas Citizen of India, as declared in the application form).

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 86,000 per month.
• This is a fixed amount for the full one-year contract period.

Selection Process

Selection is based on an interview:

1. Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for an interview. The date and mode of the interview will be told to you later through the ANIIMS website.
2. Document Verification: You must carry all your original documents — BDS degree, mark sheet, internship certificate, and registration — at the time of the interview.

There is no written exam for this post. The schedule is tentative and may change depending on when the Selection Committee is available, so keep checking the ANIIMS website for updates.
