DCHS East Godavari GDA & Lab Attendant Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts

The District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS), East Godavari has released Notification No. 02/2026 to fill vacant support-staff posts in DSH hospitals through the District Selection Committee. Selection is done on merit basis using the roster points — there is no written exam. This is a district-level recruitment, so only candidates who qualify as local candidates of East Godavari District should apply.

The number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease as per the need of the Directorate of Secondary Health Hospitals in East Godavari District.

Who Can Apply?

General Duty Attender

• You must have passed SSC / 10th class or its equivalent from a recognised Board.

Lab Attendant

• You must have passed SSC / 10th class or its equivalent.
• You must have a Lab Attendant Course or Intermediate (Lab Attendant Vocational Course) from the Board of Inter Education, AP or any institution recognised by the Government of A.P.

Local Candidature

• You must be a local candidate of East Godavari District as per the Presidential Order rules. The recruitment is limited to the East Godavari district only.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 42 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC / ST / BC / EWS candidates get 5 years, Ex-Servicemen get 3 years (plus service length), and differently-abled candidates get 10 years.
• The maximum age with all relaxations put together is 52 years.

Salary

• Both posts pay Rs. 15,000 per month on an outsourcing (contract) basis.

• SC / ST / BC candidates: Rs. 250
• Physically challenged candidates: No fee (Exempted)

Pay the fee into the Savings Bank Account of the DCHS, East Godavari at Union Bank of India, Danavaipeta Branch, Rajamahendravaram (A/c No. 010011010000065, IFSC UBIN0801003). If you apply for more than one post, you must pay the fee separately for each post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit following the roster points. The total is 100 marks, calculated as below:

1. Qualifying Exam Marks (75%): 75 marks are allotted for the aggregate marks you got in your qualifying examination.
2. Experience (up to 10 marks): 1 mark for each completed year of work after getting the required qualification.
3. Service Weightage (up to 15%): Extra marks for candidates already working on contract/outsourcing basis (2.5 marks per 6 months in tribal areas, 2.0 marks in rural areas, 1.0 mark in urban areas), subject to a valid service certificate.
4. Counselling: Final selection is done through counselling on merit basis following the roster points.

How to Apply

1. Download the application proforma from the district website eastgodavari.nic.in (available from 30 June 2026).
2. Fill in the application and attach self-attested copies of all required certificates.
3. Pay the application fee into the bank account given above and keep the counterfoil receipt.
4. Submit the filled application with the fee receipt at the Office of the DCHS, East Godavari District, Community Health Centre Campus, Kovvuru, on or before 6 July 2026 by 5:00 PM.
5. Get a dated acknowledgment from the receiving authority as proof of submission.

Applications sent by post or any mode other than physical submission at the counter will not be accepted.

• Help nursing and medical staff with day-to-day patient care in the hospital ward
• Shift patients, stretchers, and equipment between wards and departments
• Keep the ward, lab, and work area clean and hygienic
• Assist lab staff in collecting, labelling, and moving samples for testing
• Handle basic cleaning, sterilising, and upkeep of lab glassware and equipment
• Follow hospital rules, safety guidelines, and instructions from senior staff
• Work in shifts including night duty as required
