Delhi Cantonment Board (DCB) has released Recruitment Advertisement No. 01/2026 dated 17 June 2026. This single notice covers Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical) posts. The posts carry a 2-year probation period and may become permanent if the appointing authority finds the selected candidate suitable.

The selection is direct and exam-based. DCB has clearly stated that final merit will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) only, with no skill test and no interview for these posts.

Who Can Apply?

Assistant Engineer Posts

• Assistant Engineer (Civil): You need a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Assistant Engineer (Mechanical): You need a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or institute.

Junior Engineer Posts

• Junior Engineer (Civil): You need a Degree in Civil Engineering or a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised university, board or institution.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical): You need a Degree in Electrical Engineering or a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university, board or institution.
• Nationality: You must be a citizen of India.
• Cut-off date: Qualification, age and other conditions will be checked as on 14 August 2026.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 30 years old for all posts.
• The age cut-off date is 14 August 2026.
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation for reserved posts only.
• OBC: 3 years relaxation for reserved posts only.
• PwBD: 10 years for GEN/EWS, 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC.
• Departmental candidates: Up to 5 years relaxation for permanent Delhi Cantonment Board employees with at least 3 years of continuous service.
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation is available after deducting military service from actual age as per category rules.

Salary

• Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical): Pay Level 7, Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month.
• Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Pay Level 6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
• Selected candidates will be employees of the Delhi Cantonment Board.
• The appointment is governed by Cantonment Board Employees Service Rules 2021 and other applicable service rules mentioned in the notice.

Application Fee

• Application fee is Rs. 850 per candidate per post.
• Payment mode is online only through the online application form.
• No fee: Female candidates, SC/ST candidates, PwBD candidates, widows, divorced women, women judicially separated and not remarried, ex-servicemen, transgender persons and departmental candidates are exempted.
• Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

DCB will select candidates through a Computer Based Test. There is no skill test and no interview for these engineering posts.

1. Computer Based Test: The CBT will have 120 objective questions for 120 marks and the duration is 120 minutes.
2. Answer key and objections: Answer keys will be made available on the application portal, and objections can be submitted online within the time allowed by DCB.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates, one set of self-attested copies, admit card copy and two recent passport-size photos.
4. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to a medical fitness certificate from the Medical Officer, Cantonment General Hospital, Delhi Cantt.

3. Choose the correct post. If you want to apply for more than one post, submit a separate application for each post.
4. Fill in the online form with a valid email ID and mobile number.
5. Upload educational proof, age proof, category certificate, photo identity proof, photograph, signature and other required documents.
6. Pay the fee online if you are not exempted.
7. Submit the application before 14 August 2026 and keep a copy for your records.
