Who Can Apply?

For Professor (Economics) — Academic Level 14

• A Ph.D. degree in Economics or in a relevant/allied/applied discipline
• A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from an Indian university or equivalent foreign degree
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in a university, college, or accredited research institution after Ph.D.
• At least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals plus a strong academic record (as per UGC Regulations)

For Associate Professor (Culture and Media Studies) — Academic Level 13A

• A Ph.D. degree in Culture and Media Studies, Mass Communication, Cultural Studies, Media Studies, or a relevant/allied discipline
• A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience in a university, college, or accredited research institution
• At least 7 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

For Assistant Professor (Economics) — Academic Level 10

• A Master's degree in Economics with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS) from an Indian university or equivalent foreign degree
• Cleared NET / SLET / SET, OR awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations
• This post is reserved for OBC candidates with Visual Handicap (Blind or Low Vision) — only candidates meeting both criteria are eligible

Salary

• Professor (Level 14): Rs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200 per month as per 7th CPC UGC Academic Pay Scale
• Associate Professor (Level 13A): Rs. 1,31,400 – Rs. 2,17,100 per month as per 7th CPC UGC Academic Pay Scale
• Assistant Professor (Level 10): Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400 per month as per 7th CPC UGC Academic Pay Scale
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA, NPS, medical, LTC, and other allowances as per Government of India rules for central university faculty.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. CURAJ shortlists candidates based on academic record and calls them for interview.

1. Screening of Online Applications: Applications are scrutinised against UGC eligibility norms for the post.
2. Shortlisting by Screening Committee: Eligible candidates are shortlisted on the basis of academic merit, research publications, teaching experience, and overall academic record using the UGC API/screening criteria.
3. Interview by Selection Committee: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview before a duly constituted Selection Committee. Final selection is based on interview performance and overall academic record.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates are verified before the interview or before issue of the appointment letter.
