CURAJ has released Advertisement No. CURAJ/BIOCHEM/BB/DBT/01 dated 17 July 2026 for 2 temporary research positions in a time-bound project titled "Utilizing Plant derived Extra-cellular vesicles as mRNA delivery vehicles for therapeutic purposes" in the Department of Biochemistry. The project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and both posts carry a tenure of one year. Who Can Apply?

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - Rs. 37,000 + 10% HRA/month:

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Biochemistry or any branch of Life Science with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university/institute as per UGC norms.
• Additional Requirement: You must have cleared UGC/CSIR-NET, GATE, or any other national-level exam conducted by agencies like DBT, DST, ICAR, ICMR, DAE, MHRD, DRDO, IIT or IISER.

For Project Assistant (PA) - Rs. 20,000/month:

• Qualification: Bachelor's (B.Sc./B.Tech) or Master's (M.Sc.) degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or an allied field with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university/institute as per UGC norms.

Desirable for both posts: Candidates with knowledge and experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics will be given preference. If a large number of applications are received, the project team may apply additional screening criteria to shortlist candidates.

Salary

• JRF: Consolidated fellowship of Rs. 37,000 per month plus 10% HRA, as per DBT norms.
• Project Assistant: Consolidated compensation of Rs. 20,000 per month.
• Hostel accommodation at the University may be provided, subject to availability.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for both posts is done in a single stage:

1. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview conducted by the Department of Biochemistry, based on merit. You must bring your original certificates and documents to the interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, and being called for interview does not guarantee selection. The committee also reserves the right not to select any candidate, or to offer a lower post, if candidates are not found suitable.
