Central University of Odisha, established under an Act of Parliament in 2009, is conducting a walk-in interview to engage a Guest Faculty member in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication for the Summer Semester of the 2026-27 academic year. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Journalism & Mass Communication, Journalism, or Mass Communication from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
• Additional Requirement: You must have qualified NET, or hold a PhD (NET is exempted for PhD holders, as per UGC's 2018 Minimum Qualification regulations).
• Experience: You need experience in Audio Visual Production or Visual Editing.
• Desirable Skills: Skill in Audio Visual Editing software, Graphics & Animation, page layout & print production, and Web Designing/HTML will strengthen your candidature, though they are not compulsory.

Your qualification must meet the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers, 2018. Since this is a media and communication role, the panel is likely to test your practical, hands-on production skills rather than just your academic record. Salary

• You will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 per month.

Selection Process

CUO will select the Guest Faculty through 2 stages, both conducted on the same day:

2. Personal Interview
