CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI) Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

CSIR-CLRI, a national laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) engaged in leather science and technology research, has released Notification No. 08/2026 dated 4 August 2026 for one Project Associate-I position at its Regional Centre, Jalandhar. Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview - there is no written exam, so you can get selected quickly if you meet the eligibility criteria. The position is tenable up to 31 March 2027 and may be extended based on project requirements.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Polymer Science, or M.Sc. in Chemistry (General/Organic/Polymer Chemistry/Inorganic/Physical/Analytical/Industrial/Materials/Environmental).
• Desirable: Minimum 6 months of research or industrial experience in synthesis of polymers and polymer composites/materials, with knowledge of handling analytical instruments and good communication skills in English/Hindi.
• Students in their final year/semester awaiting results are NOT eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 35 years old as on the date of the walk-in interview.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates get 5 years relaxation; OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation, or as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 25,000 plus HRA.
• The tenure is up to 31 March 2027 and may be extended, but is co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend in person with a duly filled application form and self-attested photocopies of all required certificates.
2. Document Verification: Bring your original certificates, mark sheets and a photo ID for verification at the time of the interview.

2. Fill the form and attach self-attested photocopies of your Date of Birth certificate, 10th certificate, educational certificates/mark sheets, and experience proof (if any).
3. Carry your original certificates, a photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter ID/other government photo ID) and 2 passport-size color photographs.
4. Reach CSIR-CLRI Regional Centre, Leather Complex, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar-144021 by 10:30 AM on the interview date - candidates arriving later will not be allowed.
5. Attend the walk-in interview on 24 August 2026 at 11:00 AM.
