Chennai Port Authority (ChPA) Junior Executive (Finance) Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

Chennai Port Authority (ChPA), a major port under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has invited applications for 4 Junior Executive (Finance) posts in its Finance Department on a contract basis for 2 years. This is a professional engagement meant for candidates who have either completed their CA/CMA Intermediate with articleship, or hold an M.Com degree with relevant accounting experience. Candidates with SAP FICO knowledge will get preference — this is a good opportunity if you want hands-on finance experience with a central government port authority. The role sits within the Finance Department and reports up to the FA&CAO (Finance Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer) office of the Port.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Option 1): CA/CMA (Inter) passed with articleship/internship completed.
• Qualification (Option 2): M.Com degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in accounting and finance from an industrial, commercial organisation, or reputed company.
• Desirable: Proficiency in SAP FICO functionalities will be given preference.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 30 years as on 1 July 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 50,000 per month for the entire 2-year engagement.
• No other service benefits will be paid, as this is a professional engagement rather than a regular government appointment. Applicable tax will be deducted as per the Income Tax Act.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written Examination (if conducted): ChPA may, at its discretion, hold a written exam to shortlist candidates for the interview. If held, the date, time, and venue will be informed to eligible candidates by email.
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the date, time, and venue of the interview.

Terms of engagement: As part of this professional engagement, you will be required to keep the Port's confidential information — including customer lists, engagement policies, personnel details, and business strategy — private, both during and after your engagement with the Port. Any breach of these conditions can lead to summary dismissal from service, in addition to other legal remedies.
