Chittoor District PwBD Backlog Recruitment 2026 — 23 Posts
The Government of Andhra Pradesh runs a special recruitment drive to fill combined backlog vacancies set aside for differently abled persons. This drive was originally started in 2002 and has been extended from time to time. Through this notification, the District Collector and Chairman of the District Selection Committee, Chittoor, is inviting applications from eligible PwBD candidates who are local to Chittoor District (erstwhile boundaries, before restructuring on 04.02.2022). Who Can Apply?
This recruitment is only for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) — those with at least 40% disability as certified by a medical authority. You must be a local candidate of Chittoor District (erstwhile), i.e., before the district was restructured on 04.02.2022.
Junior Office Assistant (Post Code 001)
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university
- Must qualify the test of Proficiency in Office Automation with usage of Computer and Associated Software as per G.O.Ms. No. 133, dt: 12.05.2014
Office Subordinate (Post Code 002)
- Must have passed Class VII examination
- Must be able to ride a bicycle (as per G.O.Ms. No. 227)
ANM Grade-III (Post Code 003)
- Female candidates only
- Must have passed 18/24 months MPHA (F) course and be registered in AP Auxiliary Nurse and Midwifery & Health Visitors Council
- OR Two years Intermediate Vocational Multi Purpose Health Worker (Female) course, registered with A.P. Para Medical Board
General Requirements

- Valid Employment Registration as per G.O.M.S.No. 52, Labor Employment Training and Factories (EMP) Dept., dated 19.04.2012

Salary
The pay scales under RPS-2022 (Revised Pay Scales 2022) are:
- Junior Office Assistant: Rs. 25,220 — 80,910 per month
- Office Subordinate: Rs. 20,000 — 61,960 per month
- ANM Grade-III: Rs. 22,460 — 72,810 per month
In addition to basic pay, you will get DA, HRA, and other allowances as applicable to AP state government employees.
Selection Process
DSC Posts (Junior Office Assistant — Group IV)
For Group IV posts under the DSC, written examinations and oral interviews are waived. Selection is based purely on merit in the qualifying examination (as per G.O.Ms.No. 74, G.A. (Ser-A) Dept., dated 14.02.2007).
ODSC Posts (Office Subordinate, ANM Grade-III)
Selection is based on a merit score out of 50 marks:
- Educational Qualifications — 10 marks (SSC = 7, Intermediate = 9, Degree = 10)
- Age — 10 marks
- Employment Seniority — 15 marks
- Degree of Disability — 15 marks
No written exam is conducted — selection is entirely merit-based on the above parameters.

Responsibilities
- Handle clerical and administrative tasks assigned by the department or supervising officer
- Assist in maintaining office records, files, and documentation as per government procedures

- Manage office automation tasks including data entry and computer-based work (for Junior Office Assistant)
- Keep the office premises clean and organized, and assist in distributing files and documents (for Office Subordinate)

- Educational Qualifications — 10 marks (SSC = 7, Intermediate = 9, Degree = 10)

- Employment Seniority — 15 marks
- Degree of Disability — 15 marks
In case of equal marks, preference goes to the candidate with a higher degree of disability. If there is still a tie, the older candidate gets priority. After that, the candidate who got their educational qualification earlier is preferred.
