Berhampur University has invited applications for one Project Assistant position under an Extra-Mural Research Project funded by the Odisha State Higher Education Council (OSHEC) through its Mukhyamantri Research and Innovation Program (MRIP). The project, titled "Ecotourism as a Catalyst for Tribal Empowerment: Advancing Sustainable Livelihoods and Environmental Conservation", is led by Principal Investigator Dr. Iqbal Ahmad Bhat in the Department of Tourism & Travel Studies. This is a good opportunity for Tourism, Social Sciences or Humanities postgraduates interested in research on ecotourism and tribal livelihoods.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree in Tourism & Travel Management, or an allied Social Sciences/Humanities/Interdisciplinary field relevant to the project, with a minimum of 55% marks.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 12,000 per month, as per OSHEC-MRIP funding agency guidelines.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: Report with your filled application, self-attested photocopies, and original mark sheets/certificates for verification before the selection committee.

Terms of Appointment

• The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project — it will end when the project or its funding ends.
