About This Job
BRIC-THSTI Faridabad is hiring 9 Apprentices across four trades — Biotechnology, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, and Electrical & Equipment Maintenance. If you have a Graduation or Diploma in the relevant field (passed within the last 5 years) with at least 55% marks, you can apply through the NATS portal. The last date to apply is 2 June 2026. Monthly stipend is Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 9,000 and the training is for 1 year.
BRIC-THSTI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 9 Posts
BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, has released Notice No. THS/2.7.4/2026 for engagement of apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentice Act, 1961. The institute is part of the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad and works on translational research to improve human health. Freshers who passed within the last five years with B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc, Graduation or Diploma in the listed trades can apply.

Who Can Apply?
For Biotechnology (5 posts):
- You must have a B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc in Life Sciences from a recognised university.
For Information Technology (2 posts):
- Graduation in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Application or allied subjects, OR
- Diploma in IT / Computer Science / Computer Application or allied subjects.
For Civil Engineering (1 post):
- Graduation in Civil Engineering or allied subjects, OR
- Diploma in Engineering (Civil or allied subjects).
For Electrical and Equipment Maintenance (1 post):
- Graduation in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering, OR
- Diploma in Engineering (allied subjects).
Other Requirements
- You must have passed your qualifying exam within the last 5 years.
- Minimum 55% marks are required (or CGPA 6 and above if your university follows CGPA grading).
- You are not eligible if you have already done apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 or have one year of work experience.
- You must meet the standard of fitness as per the Apprenticeship Rules 1992.
Stipend
- Biotechnology: Rs. 9,000 per month
- Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Equipment Maintenance:
- Graduates: Rs. 9,000 per month
- Diploma holders: Rs. 8,000 per month
- Training duration: 1 year
Selection Process
There is no written exam for this engagement. Selection is based on shortlisting:
- Shortlisting based on academic marks and eligibility criteria. The institute may set its own short-listing criteria and is not obliged to call every eligible candidate.
- Document Verification for shortlisted candidates.
- Final selection as per institute's process. The list will be uploaded on the THSTI website.

- Click on Student → Student Register (first-time users) or Student Login (existing NATS 1.0 / NATS 2.0 users).
- Complete the enrolment form. A unique 12-digit Enrolment Number will be generated.
- After login, go to Apply against advertised vacancies and search for Translational Health Science & Technology Institute (THSTI).
- Upload your photograph, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and degree/diploma certificates. Make sure you enter the percentage of marks / CGPA — failure to do so will reject your application.

Responsibilities
- Assist research scientists in biotechnology, IT, civil, or electrical projects as per the assigned trade
- Operate lab equipment and follow standard protocols under supervision
- Maintain training logbooks, sample records, and project documentation
- Support routine maintenance and upkeep of laboratory infrastructure and IT systems
- Participate in safety drills and follow biosafety and lab safety guidelines
- Learn data entry, technical reporting, and basic research workflows during the 1-year training
- Coordinate with team members and complete tasks assigned by the trade supervisor
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Graduation or Diploma in relevant trade (Biotechnology / IT / Civil / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation) with minimum 55% marks or CGPA 6+, passed within the last 5 years
Preferred Qualification
B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc Life Sciences for Biotechnology trade
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of the relevant trade, lab/computer literacy, willingness to learn under supervision
