Vacancy Breakdown

• Research Associate: 1 post — M.Sc and Ph.D in relevant subject, salary Rs. 58,000 + HRA (9%)
• Project Associate: 1 post — M.Sc in relevant subject, salary Rs. 31,000 + HRA (9%) for NET/GATE qualified, or Rs. 25,000 + HRA (9%) for others

Who Can Apply?

For Research Associate

• Qualification: M.Sc and Ph.D in a relevant subject or field
• Experience: Research experience with publications in Scopus/Web of Science/indexed journals and recommendation from three referees
• Preferred: Ph.D in Life Science with expertise in Industrial Microbiology, Agricultural Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Dairy Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Fermentation Microbiology or related fields, with at least 3 years of post-Ph.D experience
• Equivalent: Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or 3 years of research, teaching and development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one SCI-indexed research paper

For Project Associate

• Qualification: M.Sc in a relevant subject or field
• Experience: Prior experience and recommendation from three referees
• Higher pay scale applies if you have CSIR-UGC NET (with lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE or any National-level examination conducted by Central Government Departments

Age Limit

• Research Associate: Maximum age 38 years (with relaxation as per Government norms)
• Project Associate: Maximum age 35 years (with relaxation as per Government norms)

Salary

• Research Associate: Rs. 58,000 per month + 9% HRA
• Project Associate (NET/GATE qualified): Rs. 31,000 per month + 9% HRA
• Project Associate (others): Rs. 25,000 per month + 9% HRA
• Remuneration is as per DST guidelines
• Project Duration: 3 Years
• Exit Policy: A 30-day window period is given for leaving the project under any circumstances
