BMHRC Specialist Grade-III Medicine Recruitment 2026: Overview

Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC), a 350-bed super-speciality hospital run by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Department of Health Research, is looking for physicians to work as Contractual Specialist Grade-III (Medicine). You will work at the main hospital on Raisen Bypass Road, Karond, Bhopal or at one of BMHRC's Outreach Health Centres in the city.

This is a contract empanelment, not a regular appointment. You start on a one-year contract that can be extended if your work is satisfactory, but it ends as soon as the post is filled on a regular basis, whichever comes first. It suits MD Medicine or MD General Medicine doctors who already have a few years of speciality practice behind them and want a fixed monthly package at a central government hospital.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Empanelment, not a fixed intake: BMHRC says appointments will be made as per the available vacancy, and the number of posts may go up or down at the time of interview. Eligible applicants are called for interview as and when the requirement arises.
• Experience cut-off: Your qualification and experience are judged as on the date of the interview, not the closing date.
• Government employees: If you already work in a Central or State Government job, bring a No Objection Certificate from your employer to the interview. Without it, your candidature will not be considered.
• No transfers in: Inter-hospital or inter-institutional transfer is not allowed for this engagement.
• Medical fitness: Your appointment depends on being declared physically fit by the Institute's Medical Board.
• Original documents: Carry all original certificates to the interview for verification; any certificate found wrong cancels your candidature without notice.
• Service rules: Other terms follow the Government of India service conditions in force from time to time, and any legal dispute falls under the courts at Bhopal.
