BMH Junior Resident (Dental) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital (BMH), a Government of NCT of Delhi hospital in Pitampura, North-West Delhi, is filling a Junior Resident (Dental) post in its Dental Department on an ad-hoc basis. The opening is aimed at recent BDS graduates — only candidates who finished their internship between 24 October 2024 and 23 October 2026 can apply, so this is a residency for freshers rather than experienced dentists.

The hospital will first screen the paper applications and publish a list of eligible candidates on the Delhi Government website. Those on the list then take a written or screening test followed by an interview, on a date the hospital will announce later.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first appointment is for 89 days. It can be extended up to one year in total, with a one-day break after every 89-day spell, based on satisfactory work and conduct.
• Repeat residents: if you have already completed one year of junior residency, you may appear again, but you will be offered the post only if no fresh junior resident is available.
• Dental Council registration: registration with the Dental Council of India is compulsory. If you are registered with another state dental council you can still appear, but you must register with the DCI once appointed.
• Hostel: staying in the hospital hostel is compulsory for junior residents.
• Changing vacancies: posts are filled in phases as the department needs them, and the advertised number may change.
• Joining checks: appointment depends on medical fitness and verification of your educational certificates.
• Reservation: reservation for candidates with disabilities applies as per rules.
• Travel: no TA/DA is paid for the written exam or interview.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Fill the application form annexed to the notice, attach self-attested photocopies of your documents and send it by post or deliver it in person to Room No. 136, Diary Section, 1st Floor, Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, Pitam Pura, Delhi 110034. It must reach by 1:00 PM on the last date — the hospital will not consider late applications, including those delayed in the post, so hand-delivery is safer if you are in Delhi.
