  • Class Requirement: First Class for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates. Pass Class for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.

FTEH-03: Deputy Engineer (Horticulture) — 3 Posts

  • Qualification: M.Sc. in Horticulture from a recognized university.
  • Class Requirement: First Class for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS candidates. Pass Class for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.

If your college uses CGPA or credit-based grading, you will need to convert it to percentage using your university's official formula and attach supporting proof.

Age Limit

  • You should be 28 years old or below as on 01 March 2026.
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 31 years).
  • SC / ST: 5 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 33 years).
  • PwBD (40% or more disability): 10 years relaxation over and above the category relaxation.
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India guidelines.

Salary

  • You will be placed in the E-II grade with a pay scale of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 per month with an annual increment of 3%.
  • In addition to basic pay, you will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and 35% of annual basic pay as perquisites.
  • Other benefits include Performance Related Pay (PRP), Group Life Insurance, Medical Reimbursement, Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity as per company rules.

  • SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: Exempted (no fee required).

Selection Process

  1. Written Test (85 marks): An objective-type exam of 85 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. Each correct answer gets you 1 mark. Questions will cover technical subjects from your engineering or degree syllabus, along with a General Aptitude and Reasoning section. The exam will be held at Bengaluru. Minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General/OBC/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  2. Interview (15 marks): Based on written test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:5 ratio (5 candidates for every 1 vacancy). The same minimum qualifying marks apply for the interview as well.
  3. Final Selection: Your final selection will depend on combined performance in both the written test and interview, for a total of 100 marks.
