Selection Process
The recruitment follows a multi-stage process. First, you will appear for an Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) at a computer-based test centre. If you clear the CEE with at least 40% in both papers, you will be called for a Recruitment Rally that includes physical fitness tests, physical measurements, and a medical examination. Candidates who pass all physical rounds will then face an Aptitude Skill Test and Personal Interview at AEC Training College, Pachmarhi.
Preparation Tips for Indian Army Havildar Education CEE
- Master Paper-I first — it covers General Awareness, English, Maths, and Reasoning in 50 questions for 50 marks (1 hour)
- Focus heavily on Paper-II — this carries 100 marks and tests your trade-specific knowledge, so study your chosen specialisation deeply
- No negative marking means attempt everything — do not leave any question unanswered, make educated guesses on uncertain ones
- Build physical fitness early — start running 1.6 km daily and practice pull-ups, since the physical test comes right after the written exam
- Practice previous year papers — the Join Indian Army website provides category-wise practice links for the CEE
- Cover current affairs for the last 6 months — General Awareness in Paper-I often tests recent events and defence-related news
