The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has issued a vacancy notice for Executive Engineer (Civil) in the Andaman Public Works Department (APWD). - Maximum age for deputation appointment is 56 years.

Salary
- Pay Level 11: Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month in the pay matrix.
- DA: Dearness Allowance is admissible as per rules.
- Island Benefits: Special Compensatory Allowance and Island Special Allowance are admissible under rules.
- Accommodation: Rent-free unfurnished accommodation is available, subject to general review.
- Travel Benefit: Free sea passage once a year for self and family members as per orders in force.

Terms and Conditions
- Initial Tenure: The appointment is initially for 2 years and may be extended as per rules and requirement.
- Pay Option: The selected officer can choose pay fixation in the deputation post or draw parent-cadre pay plus deputation allowance, subject to applicable rules.
- Release Requirement: Sponsoring authorities should forward only those officers whose services can be spared on deputation.
- Joining Condition: Once selected, the officer should not refuse to join, and the sponsoring authority is expected to release the officer within a month of the appointment order.

Responsibilities
- Manage civil engineering works and public infrastructure projects under APWD
- Supervise construction, maintenance, estimates and technical approvals for assigned works
- Coordinate with field engineers, contractors, administration offices and user departments
- Review measurements, quality checks, progress reports and project documentation
- Monitor compliance with government engineering standards, safety rules and financial procedures
- Prepare technical notes, work plans and status reports for senior officers
- Support timely execution of civil works across assigned APWD divisions
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or Part A and B examination of Institution of Engineers (India), with 5 years professional experience in Civil Engineering.
Preferred Qualification
Serving officers holding analogous posts, or officers with regular service in Pay Level 9 or Pay Level 7 as specified in the vacancy notice.
