AIIMS Nagpur has released an advertisement (File No. AIIMS-NGP/Admin-I/Rect./ART-Clinic/2026/01, dated 31 July 2026) to fill 1 Clinical Embryologist post in its ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) Clinic. This is a specialised, hands-on lab role that supports couples going through fertility treatment at the institute. This is a contractual position for one year, extendable until an alternate arrangement is made or a regular appointment happens, whichever is earlier. You do not have to be a doctor to apply — postgraduates in Clinical Embryology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or even MBBS/BVSc graduates with the right embryology training and ART lab experience can apply. Note: the vacancy is provisional and the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur reserves the right to vary the number of posts, or cancel the advertisement, as per institutional requirements.

Who Can Apply?

AIIMS Nagpur has kept the eligibility flexible so that candidates from different academic backgrounds — pure embryology, life sciences, biotechnology, or medicine/veterinary science — can all apply, as long as they have hands-on ART laboratory experience. You can apply if you meet any one of these four qualification routes:

• Route 1: A full-time Postgraduate degree in Clinical Embryology (minimum 4 semesters) from a recognized university, plus 3 years of human ART laboratory experience handling gametes and embryos.
• Route 2: A full-time Ph.D. related to Clinical Embryology or assisted reproductive technology, plus 1 year of human ART laboratory experience.
• Route 3: An MBBS or BVSc degree with a full-time postgraduate degree in Clinical Embryology, plus 2 years of ART laboratory experience.
• Route 4: A postgraduate degree in Life Sciences or Biotechnology, plus 1 year of on-site clinical embryology certified training and 4 years of experience handling gametes and embryos in a registered ART Level 2 clinic.

Your age and experience will be counted as on 14 August 2026, the closing date for receipt of applications, so make sure your qualifications and experience are complete by then.

This role gives you direct, specialised experience in a hospital-based ART setup, which is valuable if you want to build a long-term career in reproductive medicine or clinical embryology. Since AIIMS Nagpur is a relatively new, fast-growing institute, you also get the chance to help set up standard operating procedures for the ART Clinic from an early stage.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 96,134 per month for this contractual position.
• This is a fixed consolidated amount — no separate DA, HRA or other allowances are mentioned in the notification.
• The salary will be revised or terminated as decided by the competent authority, since this is a contractual, non-regular post.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Screening: The Scrutiny Committee reviews your bio-data and shortlists candidates for the interview.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. The list of eligible candidates and the interview date will be posted on the AIIMS Nagpur website — there is no separate call letter by post.

This is a purely contractual appointment. It is not linked to a regular appointment and cannot be regularized at any stage. The appointment can also be terminated by the competent authority before one year, without assigning any reason.
