NIRWoH Project Research Scientist I Recruitment 2026: Overview
ICMR-National Institute for Research on Women’s Health (ICMR-NIRWoH) is recruiting a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for EndoCare India. Funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research, the project will develop and pilot a multidisciplinary care package for endometriosis in Indian public tertiary hospitals. Your assignment is linked to the project’s Mumbai hospital site.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Engagement arrangement: The position is temporary and filled through an outsourcing agency. Your appointment belongs to the EndoCare India project described in the notice.
- Initial tenure: The appointment starts with a one-year term. An extension depends on the project’s needs, available funding and satisfactory performance, so continued engagement is conditional.
- Project duration: The overall study runs for three years. That is the project’s duration; your initial appointment remains the shorter term specified in the notice, with any extension subject to its conditions.
- Hospital posting: You will be based in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. The Site Principal Investigator will supervise your work there.
- Institute visits: You will also need to visit ICMR-NIRWoH in Mumbai when the project needs you there. The notice connects the hospital assignment with the institute’s wider project team.
- Care setting: EndoCare India brings together different clinical specialities around endometriosis care. The project covers women with suspected or confirmed endometriosis, with hospital and institute teams contributing to the same study.
