NIRWoH Project Technical Support I Recruitment 2026: Overview
ICMR-National Institute for Research on Women’s Health (ICMR-NIRWoH) is hiring project staff for a study on Sikkim’s low Total Fertility Rate. The Indian Council of Medical Research funds this work, which looks at fertility trends, their causes and the state health system’s readiness to respond. The same notice covers work in Mumbai and at the Sikkim study site.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project engagement: You will be deployed through M/s. E-Solutions IT Services Pvt. Ltd., the outsourcing agency named in the notice. The institute describes these appointments as purely temporary and tied to this research study.
- Contract end: Both posting groups have a stated tenure up to 9 December 2026. This is the engagement’s end date, so keep it separate from the application deadline when deciding whether the assignment fits your plans.
- Mumbai base: The institute-based assignment is at ICMR-NIRWoH, J.M. Street, Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra. The notice also identifies the institute by its former name, ICMR-NIRRCH.
- Sikkim base: Your headquarters will be Gangtok or another location decided by the Sikkim team. Travel to four districts of Sikkim is part of this assignment, so this posting involves movement beyond the headquarters.
- Study setting: The project uses a mixed methods approach to examine fertility and health-system preparedness. The Mumbai and Sikkim assignments belong to that shared study, while the Sikkim assignment includes work at field sites.
