AIIMS Gorakhpur Project Technical Support-II Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Gorakhpur, an autonomous institute under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is hiring a Project Technical Support-II for an ICMR-funded research project in its Department of Cardiology. The project, called CARDINAL, is a pilot study on AI-driven risk detection and integrated analysis for advanced cardiovascular care, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Ashutosh Prasad Tripathi, Assistant Professor of Cardiology.

This is a purely temporary project position, not a regular AIIMS job. It suits lab technicians and science graduates who have hands-on experience with clinical samples — the notice prefers people who have collected and handled blood, urine and stool samples, processed and stored them, and kept sample records, ideally with a year's work at a research institute or university hospital.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: You are engaged initially for six months or less, depending on the project's tenure. Any extension depends on your performance, project funds and approval from the competent authority.
• No claim to a regular post: project work, with or without breaks, gives you no right to absorption or regularisation at AIIMS Gorakhpur, ICMR or any other government body.
• Who cannot apply: candidates already holding a regular or permanent government post are not eligible. If you are employed elsewhere, bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
• Pay may change: the monthly amount can vary with the funding agency's sanction, and there is no provident fund, LTC or medical claim since the post is temporary.
• Posting: you normally work at the study site in AIIMS Gorakhpur, but can be moved to other project sites for research needs.
• Age cut-off: the upper age is counted as on the last date of application; reserved-category relaxation applies only to posts reserved for that category, as per Government of India and ICMR norms.
• Joining: you must join within 5 days of the result being declared.
• Termination: if the Principal Investigator finds your work unsatisfactory, the engagement can end at any time without notice.
• Experience counting: experience is counted only from the date you completed the minimum essential qualification.
• Travel: no TA/DA is paid for the interview, and no request to change the interview date is accepted.

Unsigned forms, forms without a recent photograph and late applications are rejected outright.

Only shortlisted candidates are called for the in-person interview at the same Room No. 211 — no online interview is offered. Bring the filled form, your originals and one set of self-attested photocopies, as the institute has no photocopy facility.
