AIIMS Gorakhpur Junior Resident Recruitment 2026

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur is recruiting 24 Non-Academic Junior Residents (Medical) on an ad-hoc basis in Uttar Pradesh. You need an MBBS degree, completed compulsory rotating internship and medical registration to join. AIIMS Gorakhpur Junior Resident Recruitment 2026 - 24 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will fill these medical posts for a period of six months. The appointment is purely ad hoc, and selected doctors will work in different departments at the Gorakhpur campus. Selection is mainly through a walk-in interview, although AIIMS may add a written examination if many applicants attend.

The category allocation is 9 UR, 3 OBC, 4 SC, 5 ST and 3 EWS posts. Five PwBD seats are included within the category totals: one each under UR, SC and ST, and two under OBC. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold an MBBS degree from an institute recognized by the Medical Council of India.
• Internship: You must have completed the compulsory rotating internship and be able to show the completion certificate.
• Registration: Registration with the Medical Council of India, a State Medical Council or an equivalent regulatory authority is mandatory before joining.
• Category documents: If you claim reservation, age relaxation or fee exemption, you must show a valid certificate in the Government of India format.
• OBC condition: You must belong to the Central OBC non-creamy-layer list and carry a certificate issued in the current financial year, 2026-27.

Your qualification, internship and supporting records must be complete by the walk-in date of 1 September 2026. Foreign medical graduates should also bring the FMGE certificate issued after the National Board examination. Original documents are compulsory; AIIMS states that a person who cannot produce them at the interview will not be considered.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 37 years.
• SC/ST relaxation: 5 years.
• OBC relaxation: 3 years.
• PwBD relaxation: 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST.

The base ceiling for this Junior Resident recruitment is 37 years. You can claim a relaxation only when you hold the required valid category certificate, and no relaxation applies to an SC/ST/OBC applicant competing for an unreserved vacancy. Salary

• Entry pay: Rs. 56,100 per month in Pay Matrix Level 10.
• Additional pay: NPA is payable to medical personnel under the 7th Central Pay Commission rules.
• Appointment terms: The post is ad hoc for six months and does not carry regular-service benefits such as pension, gratuity, seniority or promotion.

The stated salary begins at Rs. 56,100 per month, with NPA for medical personnel. The notice does not give a separate monthly upper figure, so the structured salary field uses the known entry amount. No claim to a regular AIIMS post arises from this six-month appointment.

Selection Process

AIIMS Gorakhpur will normally select Junior Residents through document checking and interview. If the turnout is large, the institute may hold a written examination, but it has not announced the questions, marks, duration or syllabus. The selected list will appear on the AIIMS Gorakhpur website.

1. Online Application Review: AIIMS will consider the form, payment receipt and uploaded supporting records received by the deadline.
2. Registration and Document Verification: Report between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM with the original records, one self-attested photocopy set and the completed application form.
3. Written Examination, if needed: AIIMS may add a written test only when the number of applicants is large.
4. Interview: The walk-in interview begins at 10:00 AM on 1 September 2026.
5. Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to fitness assessed by the designated medical authority.
