All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS Bhubaneswar) Project Scientist-II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

AIIMS Bhubaneswar has released a notification for 1 Project Scientist-II (Non-Medical) post under the project "National Survey on Extent and Patterns of Substance Use in India", led by Dr. Arpit Jashwantbhai Parmar, Associate Professor of Psychiatry. This position is funded by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) as part of a nationwide study on substance use patterns. This is a purely temporary contract position, initially for 6 months, with renewal depending on your performance and availability of project funds. Candidates with a background in clinical psychology, social work, or de-addiction research are best suited for this role, which involves coordinating survey fieldwork across an assigned state or Union Territory.

As a Project Scientist-II, you will act as an anchor between the central research team at AIIMS Bhubaneswar and the field survey teams working in your assigned region. The Department of Psychiatry runs this project under the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC) framework, which means you will get exposure to a large-scale public health research initiative while building your research career.
