Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior is a premier Institute of National Importance set up by the Government of India. The institute has released Advertisement No. 05/2026 inviting applications for two Group B technical posts — Assistant Engineer (Electrical) and Junior Engineer (Civil). Candidates who had earlier applied against Advertisement No. 04/2026 dated 12/03/2026 may re-submit without paying the fee again (attach proof of earlier fee payment). The work location is Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Engineer (Electrical) - Level 7

• Diploma route: 1st Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent Degree recognised by AICTE as Diploma) with 8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Degree route: 1st Class B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent Degree recognised by AICTE) with 6 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience must be in regular scale in IITs / IISc / IIMs / IIITs / NITs / IISERs or similar Centrally / State funded institutions, Government organisations, or Public Sector Units.

For Junior Engineer (Civil) - Level 6

• Diploma route: 1st Class Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent Diploma recognised by AICTE) with 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Degree route: 1st Class B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent Degree recognised by AICTE) with 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience must be in regular scale in IITs / IISc / IIMs / IIITs / NITs / IISERs or similar Centrally funded institutions, Government organisations, or PSUs.

Note: Work experience obtained during your qualifying academic programme will NOT be counted.

Age Limit

• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): Upper age limit 35 years
• Junior Engineer (Civil): Upper age limit 32 years
• Age Reference Date: 1 June 2026 (last date of application submission)
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen

Salary

• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): Pay Level 7 of 7th CPC (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400)
• Junior Engineer (Civil): Pay Level 6 of 7th CPC (Rs. 35,400 - Rs. 1,12,400)
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules

Selection Process

Selection will be in the following stages:

1. Written Test: Shortlisting will be done by applying a suitable cut-off. After the written test, 7 candidates per post will be shortlisted for the next stage.
2. Interview / Trade Test / Game Test: As decided by the Institute for the shortlisted candidates.
3. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of interview.

The Institute will publish the list of shortlisted candidates on its website. The full selection schedule will be notified later. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

4. Place the duly filled application with all enclosures in a sealed envelope superscribed with "Application for the post of ........ (Name of applied post) in ABV-IIITM Gwalior".
5. Send the envelope by Speed Post / Registered Post to: The Joint Registrar (A&A), ABV-IIITM, Morena Link Road, Gwalior - 474015, Madhya Pradesh so as to reach on or before 1 June 2026 by 5:00 PM.
6. If you are applying for both posts, submit separate applications for each post.
7. If you are serving in Govt / Semi-Govt / PSU / Autonomous body, send the application through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC), or submit an advance copy with an undertaking to produce NOC at the time of interview.

• Handle electrical or civil engineering operations on the ABV-IIITM Gwalior campus (depending on the post)
• Plan, supervise and execute campus maintenance, repair, and construction projects

• Inspect ongoing works, check quality of materials, and ensure adherence to specifications
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and statutory authorities for clearances and inspections
• Maintain project records, measurement books, and progress reports
• Ensure safety, statutory compliance, and timely completion of all electrical or civil works
