Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat is hiring 1 Young Professional-II (YP-II) under its Food Science and Technology Programme on a purely contractual basis. Assam Agricultural University (AAU) has released a walk-in interview notification for the post of Young Professional-II (YP-II) under the Food Science and Technology Programme, Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, Jorhat. There is no written exam — selection is purely through walk-in interview. The appointment is on a contractual basis, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Post-Graduation in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or Food Processing, or an equivalent degree from a recognised university.
• Field of Work: The role is under the Food Science and Technology Programme, so a strong academic background in food science is essential.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 36 years old.
• Age relaxation, if any, will be as per AAU rules.

Salary

• Fixed monthly emolument: Rs. 35,000 per month.
• The appointment is purely on contract — there are no additional allowances beyond the fixed monthly pay.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: You must report at the venue with all original certificates and documents. The selection committee will assess your academic record, subject knowledge, and suitability for the role.
2. Document Verification: Original certificates will be checked at the time of interview.

The decision of the selection committee will be final.
