The Office of the Medical Superintendent, Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital (AAAGH), 5, Rajpur Road, Delhi-110054 has issued a walk-in interview notice for filling 1 vacant post of Senior Resident Doctor in the OBG (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) department on an adhoc basis. This is a government hospital under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of NCT of Delhi. The appointment is initially for 89 days, which can be extended up to a maximum of 3 years based on satisfactory performance.

Who Can Apply?

Primary Qualification

• You must have an MBBS degree with a PG Degree, Diploma, or DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or the relevant specialty) from a recognised university or institution.
• You must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) with MBBS and requisite postgraduate qualification, or have proof of having applied for DMC registration at the time of the interview.
• You must not have completed 3 years of Senior Residency (combined — whether on regular or adhoc basis) in any recognised institution.

Alternative Qualification (if PG Degree/Diploma/DNB is not available)

• MBBS with 2 years of experience from any government-recognised institution, of which at least 1 year must be in the concerned specialty (Obstetrics and Gynaecology).
• This alternative is considered only when candidates with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB are not available.
• Candidate must be pursuing Residency Scheme in the concerned specialty from a recognised university or institution.

Other Requirements

• Candidates already in government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
• OBC candidates must have an OBC certificate issued by the Delhi Government (not by any other state authority).
• Medical fitness is mandatory — appointment is subject to verification of educational qualification, age, caste, and valid DMC registration certificate. Aadhaar card submission is mandatory.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of interview (23 April 2026)
• Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per applicable government rules.
• No age relaxation for OBC candidates unless they have a Delhi Government OBC certificate.

Salary

• Pay Matrix: Level 11 — Rs. 67,700 per month (as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Plus usual allowances including NPA (Non-Practising Allowance), DA, HRA, and TA as admissible under government rules
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the walk-in interview

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a walk-in interview only:

1. Document Submission: Report to Room No. 126, Admin Branch, 1st Floor, AAAGH, Delhi between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM on 23 April 2026. Submit your filled application form (available at the Administration Branch) along with original documents and one set of photocopies plus 2 passport-size photographs.
2. Walk-in Interview: The interview will be conducted at 11:00 AM on 23 April 2026 by the Selection Board. Bring all original certificates for on-the-spot verification.
3. Medical Fitness Verification: All appointments are subject to medical fitness and verification of educational qualification, age, caste, and DMC registration.

Note: No TA/DA is payable for attending the interview. Vacancies may be filled from any other category if SC/ST/OBC candidates are not available.
