THSTI Project Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad, is filling Project Research Scientist-II, Project Research Scientist-I, Project Assistant and Project Technician posts through walk-in interviews under Recruitment Notice THS/RN/17/2026. THSTI works under the Department of Biotechnology and runs centres for tuberculosis research, virus research and vaccines, and maternal and child health, backed by a Biosafety Level-3 lab and other core facilities. Post-wise Duties

Project Research Scientist-II

You will work on how Mycobacterium tuberculosis infects the brain. Expect protein cloning and purification, biochemical assays, RT-PCR, growing TB cultures and running mouse infection studies inside the BSL-3 facility, plus flow cytometry, ELISA and cell culture work.

Project Research Scientist-I

You will build AI models from medical images and videos to improve outcomes for mothers and newborns — cleaning and pre-processing datasets, writing analysis programs in Python or R, and testing different modelling strategies as set out in the analysis plan.

Project Assistant

You will handle BSL-2 and BSL-3 virus work for a coronavirus vaccine project, including virus assays and molecular biology techniques such as PCR and Western blot.

Project Technician

You will support BSL-2 in vitro virus work on the same vaccine project — generating pseudoviruses, doing molecular biology and helping with daily lab tasks.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Short-term posts: Extension depends on your performance and the project's tenure, and you cannot claim regular employment later.
• Crucial date: Your age, qualification and experience are judged as on the interview date of the post you walk in for.
• Experience rule: Only experience gained after the minimum qualification counts.
• Screening: If a large crowd turns up, THSTI may shortlist candidates with higher or more relevant qualifications and experience.

There is no online form — you simply walk in at 9:00 AM on your post's date to THSTI, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, 3rd Milestone, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad 121001. Candidates arriving after the time slot are turned away. You will have to deposit your mobile phone and an ID proof at reception until the whole selection process is over.
