THSTI Research Scientist (Senior Bioanalyst) Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) in Faridabad is looking for one Research Scientist (Senior Bioanalyst) under recruitment notice THS/RN/18/2026. THSTI works under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, and is part of the NCR Biotech Science Cluster. Its job is to turn lab research into real products that improve human health.

This post belongs to the Placenta Health Project - Adaptive Dose Finding Platform in India, led by Dr. Nitya Wadhwa with Dr. Dinesh Mahajan as co-investigator. The project is about finding the right drug doses, and that needs accurate measurement of medicines and their breakdown products in blood and tissue samples. This is where you come in.

The role is not a routine bench job. THSTI wants someone who can help set up and run a bioanalytical laboratory from the ground up — building workflows, writing SOPs, keeping the lab audit-ready, and developing LC-MS/MS and HPLC methods that meet USFDA, EMA and ICH expectations. You will also guide junior analysts and lab staff day to day.

If you have spent the last few years doing regulated bioanalysis in a BA/BE centre, a CRO or a translational research lab, and you are comfortable with method validation and PK sample analysis, this post fits you well. People who have already helped establish a new bioanalytical lab have a clear edge.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Short-term project post: The position is short-term. Any extension depends on your performance and on how long the project runs, and you cannot claim a regular job later.
• Experience counts after the degree: Only experience you gained after your Master's degree is counted towards the requirement.
• Two experience areas are compulsory: You must show hands-on work in LC-MS/MS based bioanalysis and in method development, validation and PK sample analysis in a regulatory-compliant lab. One without the other is not enough.
• Cut-off date: Your age, qualification and experience are checked as on the closing date of the online application.
• Relaxation at discretion: THSTI may relax the age, qualification or experience conditions for candidates who are otherwise suitable.
• Shortlisting: If many people apply, THSTI will call only those with higher or more relevant qualifications and experience. The number of posts may also change based on actual need.

• Help set up and run the new bioanalytical laboratory, including workflows, lab processes and documentation systems
• Develop, optimise and validate LC-MS/MS and HPLC methods to measure small-molecule drugs and metabolites in plasma, serum and tissue
• Run routine bioanalysis of clinical and preclinical PK study samples, including calibration standards and quality control samples
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain LC-MS/MS and HPLC systems, and support calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment
• Write and update SOPs, method validation protocols and bioanalytical study reports as per USFDA, EMA and ICH guidance
• Support GCP-aligned quality systems, internal audits and inspection readiness
• Guide junior analysts and lab staff, and oversee reference standards, reagent inventory, logbooks and lab notebooks
