Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has released Advertisement No. ADVT/TISS/PROJECT/CSSI/JUNE 2026 dated 12 June 2026. The recruitment is for an evaluation study of 557 government-aided Ashram Schools in Maharashtra, funded by the Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. Responsibilities

  • Collect field data from government-aided Ashram Schools in tribal areas

  • Travel to remote tribal areas and stay there when the project requires it
  • Handle secretarial, accounting or digital documentation work for the project where relevant

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduate in any discipline for Research Investigator and Secretariat-cum-Accountant; postgraduate/PhD level eligibility for Research Assistant and Research Officer

Preferred Qualification

BSW preferred for Research Investigator; MSW preferred for Research Assistant; candidates from Thane, Nashik, Amaravati and Nagpur tribal zones with tribal background and tribal dialect/language knowledge will be preferred.
