South Eastern Coalfields Limited Advisor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited and a Government of India undertaking, has released a notification dated 04 June 2026 for the engagement of a Full-Time Advisor. The post is connected with First Mile Connectivity (FMC), Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and railway siding projects. The initial tenure is 2 years, and it can be extended based on company requirement and satisfactory performance.

VRS optees will not be considered for this advisor engagement. The notification is meant for retired Board Level and Below Board Level officers from CIL, subsidiaries, PSUs, autonomous bodies of Central or State Governments, Class-C and above government officers in non-clerical roles, and members of national-level professional institutions. The selected advisor will be stationed at SECL HQ or as required by the company. The work is mainly for project monitoring, rail siding coordination and PMC review.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Qualification: You need B.E., B.Tech or B.Sc. with at least 60% from a recognised Indian university or institute.
• Preferred Discipline: Civil Engineering or Mining Engineering is preferred.
• Retired Profile: The role is for retired senior-level executives or eligible retired officers as described in the notification.
• VRS Restriction: VRS optees will not be considered.

Experience

• Minimum Experience: You need at least 20 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Project Experience: Experience should cover execution and supervision of SILO and In-Pit Conveyor System projects.
• Planning Work: Experience in preparing and finalising FSRs and DPRs is required.
• Rail Infrastructure: Experience in construction and monitoring of rail infrastructure and railway siding projects is required.
• PMC Work: Experience in supervision or monitoring of Project Management Consultancy works is required.

Age Limit

• You should be more than 60 years old.
• You should not be more than 65 years during the contract period.
• The notification does not mention any separate age relaxation.

Salary

• CMD Schedule A: Rs. 2,00,000 per month.
• Director Schedule A or CMD Schedule B: Rs. 1,80,000 per month.
• Director Schedule B: Rs. 1,60,000 per month.
• Retired E-9 Executive: Rs. 1,50,000 per month.
• Retired E-8 Executive: Rs. 1,20,000 per month.
• Retired E-7 Executive: Rs. 1,00,000 per month.
• Retired E-6 to E-2 Executives: Rs. 90,000 down to Rs. 50,000 per month depending on grade.

Accommodation may be provided if available. If company accommodation is not available, SECL will pay a consolidated amount equal to 9% of consolidated pay. If conveyance is not provided, the advisor can get 5% of consolidated pay as conveyance charges, and mobile phone reimbursement is limited to the actual bill or Rs. 1,000 per month, whichever is lower.

Selection Process

SECL will shortlist candidates and make the final selection through an interview or selection process. The notification says the company can shortlist candidates before calling them for interview.

1. Application Screening: SECL will check age, retired grade, qualification, experience and submitted documents.
2. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted applicants will be called for the next stage.
3. Interview/Selection Process: Final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
4. Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to medical fitness certified by the Company Medical Officer.

Important Conditions

• Tenure: Initial engagement is for 2 years, with possible extension based on requirement and performance.
• Termination: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice or consolidated compensation in place of notice.
• Confidentiality: The advisor must maintain company business secrecy and integrity.
• No Other Business: The advisor should not engage in any other business during the tenure.
• No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be paid for attending the interview or selection process.
