RITES Limited Senior Manager / Manager Mechanical Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

RITES Limited, a Navratna Government of India enterprise, has issued Vacancy Circular No. 10/26(D) for one Mechanical post in its project setup. The notice is meant for eligible officials from Zonal Railways, Production Units and RDSO. The normal deputation tenure is 3 years, and it may be extended based on requirement and performance.

Who Can Apply?

• Service level: SSE / Junior Scale / Group-B level officials are required for this position.
• Qualification: You need a full-time bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: You should be an SSE (Diesel Mechanical) with at least 10 years of experience in maintenance of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives of Indian Railways or Railway PSUs.
• Age limit: You should not be more than 57 years old as on the last date of application submission.
• Deputation route: Your application must be forwarded by the competent authority with required vigilance and APAR documents.

Salary

• Manager (Mech): SSEs in 7th CPC Level-7 are designated as Manager (Mechanical).
• Senior Manager (Mech): Junior Scale / Group-B and above, and eligible Level-8 MACP SSEs with Grade Pay 4800 reference, are designated as Senior Manager (Mechanical).
• Pay benefit: selected officials get parent pay plus deputation allowance, foreign allowance if applicable, and other deputation perks as admissible.
• Structured pay range: Level-7 to Level-10 roughly maps to Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month under the 7th CPC matrix.

Selection Process

RITES will shortlist and assess candidates through a 100-mark deputation selection system. You need to score at least 60% to be considered in the merit list.

1. Educational Qualification (15 marks): basic minimum qualification gets 10 marks; relevant additional qualifications can add up to 5 marks.
2. Vigilance / DAR Record (10 marks): clean vigilance history or closed cases without action get full marks; penalty cases receive lower marks.
3. Performance in Service (25 marks): APARs for the last 5 years are assessed.
4. Interview (50 marks): domain knowledge, work experience, managerial competency and overall suitability are checked by the interview committee.
