J. B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, has issued Notice No. JBR/923/2026 dated 08 June 2026. The posts are for research projects to be implemented at 170-172, Raja Dinendra Street, Kolkata 700004. Both posts are temporary and contractual for a maximum period of 10 months or until completion of the respective project, whichever is earlier.

Project context: The Research Fellow post is linked to an open-label pilot study of Anocurex Kit for symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoids. The MTS post is linked to an open-label pilot study of Glucoamrit Juice for insulin sensitivity and safety in Type 2 Diabetes. Both projects are under Prof. (Dr.) Srikanta Pandit, Department of Kayachikitsa, J.B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata.

Who Can Apply?

For Research Fellow

• Qualification: You need BAMS or MD (Ayurveda) under a recognised university.
• Desirable: Clinical Research Training or a Clinical Research Certificate is desirable.

• Experience: You need working experience in a clinical research laboratory as MTS or a similar post under a government institution or organisation.
• Desirable: Basic computer knowledge is desirable.
• Project: The role is linked to a pilot study on Glucoamrit Juice for insulin sensitivity and safety in Type 2 Diabetes.
• Experience Marks: Clinical research laboratory experience can add up to 25 marks in the selection score.

Salary

• Research Fellow: Monthly fellowship of Rs. 20,000 consolidated.
• Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Monthly fellowship of Rs. 10,000 consolidated.

Selection Process (No Written Exam Mentioned)

Selection will be based on marks for qualification, experience and interview as listed in the notification.

1. Research Fellow Merit: BAMS carries 60 marks, MD in Ayurveda carries 15 marks, clinical experience carries up to 10 marks, and interview carries 15 marks.
2. MTS Merit: Higher Secondary carries 50 marks, clinical research laboratory experience carries up to 25 marks, computer training/certificate carries 10 marks, and interview carries 15 marks.
3. Walk-in Interview: The interview will be held on 18 June 2026 from 11:00 AM onward.
