TMC has released Advertisement No. HBCH/MPMMCC/PROJECT/2026/18 dated 30 July 2026 for 1 Research Assistant post under the Academic Fund Project (A/c No. 9299) at its Varanasi campus, located inside BHU. TMC is a premier Grant-in-Aid Institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, known for cancer research and treatment across the country. The post is project-based with an initial tenure of six months, extendable based on performance and project requirement. This is a good opportunity for recent Science graduates who want to start their career in cancer research.

Tata Memorial Centre was established on 28 February 1941 in Mumbai and is today one of India's largest comprehensive cancer care networks, working as an autonomous institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed university, which allows it to run academic and research programmes alongside patient care. MPMMCC, Varanasi is situated at Sunder Bagiya inside the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus and was set up along with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HBCH) to address the shortage of comprehensive cancer care facilities in Uttar Pradesh and nearby states. HBCH began functioning from 1 May 2018 after Tata Memorial Centre renovated the erstwhile Indian Railway Cancer Hospital, while MPMMCC was built as a green-field project. Together, the two units run over 500 beds and function under a common Director for HBCH & MPMMCC, Varanasi. Working here as a Research Assistant gives you exposure to a large, active cancer research and treatment environment right from the start of your career.

Selection Process

Selection is normally done through a direct walk-in interview:
