Office of the Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer-cum-District Mission Director, NHM Kalahandi is strengthening two field-health services under the Odisha State Health and Family Welfare Society. The recruitment combines a Homeopathy Medical Officer role for a Mobile Health Unit with a laboratory-and-coordination role in the vector-borne disease programme. Both engagements are contractual and scheme-linked, with renewal depending on the Society's terms rather than a claim to permanent appointment.

Posts and Disciplines

• Medical Officer AYUSH (Homeopathy) - Mobile Health Unit: a clinical role that takes homeopathic medical services into the Mobile Health Unit's outreach area. The post calls for completed professional training and valid registration with the Odisha homeopathic medicine authority.
• Sentinel Site Malaria Technician-cum-Coordinator - NVBDCP: a science and laboratory role supporting sentinel malaria surveillance, sample work, records and programme coordination. Practical experience in a medical or biological laboratory is preferred.

Post-wise Duties

Medical Officer AYUSH (Homeopathy)

You will provide consultations through the Mobile Health Unit, assess patients, maintain clinical notes and guide treatment within the homeopathy system. You will work with the outreach team so patients in the unit's service area receive orderly follow-up and referral support.

Sentinel Site Malaria Technician-cum-Coordinator

You will support malaria surveillance and laboratory work, handle or coordinate sample-related records, compile programme information and use MS Office for routine reporting. You will also link the sentinel site with district vector-borne disease programme activities.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: the posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the scheme; continuation beyond the current contract term depends on renewal under Society rules.
• Language: you must be able to read, write and speak Odia and meet one of the notification's accepted school-level Odia study or test conditions.
• Health standard: appointment depends on good mental and physical health and any medical examination prescribed by the government.
• Current health staff: applicants already working in the Health Department must provide a post-specific NOC issued by their appointing authority after the advertisement.
• Service record: candidates previously removed by the Odisha State Health and Family Welfare Society for the listed administrative or conduct grounds cannot apply.
• Panel use: the Society may use the approved panel for similar programme posts carrying the same qualification and pay.
• Provisional terms: the notified positions and pay may change when the actual engagement is made, and the authority may cancel the process.
