Post-wise Duties

Computer Science and Engineering

You will teach computing courses, guide laboratory and project work, and develop discipline-aligned research. You may also help with curriculum review, academic committees and departmental activities.

Artificial Intelligence

You will support AI teaching, supervise student research and build scholarly work in the advertised specialisation. The department may also need your help with laboratories, seminars and collaboration across programmes.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Statutory eligibility: Educational qualifications, experience, credit points and other service conditions follow Schedule E of the NIT Statutes and the later Ministry of Education amendments.
• Specialisation check: An application can be screened out when the PhD area does not match the required specialisation in Annexure II.
• Screening discretion: SVNIT may consider another suitable specialisation and may adopt an appropriate process for deciding who is called for interview.
• PwD reservation: The Government of India reservation rule applies, but temporary disability classified as likely to improve is not accepted for reservation under the notice. Progressive, non-progressive or not-likely-to-improve conditions are treated as eligible.
• Repeat interview restriction: People who have already appeared before the selection committee for this post two or more times under the advertisements listed in the notice should not apply again.
