Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is hiring 2 Consultants (Sports Coach) at Bokaro Steel Plant — one for Football and one for Volleyball. If you have a Diploma in Sports Coaching from NSNIS or are a National/International medal winner, you can attend the walk-in interview. The walk-in is on 21 May 2026 at 10:00 AM. SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant Sports Coach Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise and India's leading steel-making company, has released advertisement number BSL/R-C/2026-04 dated 29 April 2026. The Consultants will train cadets at the SAIL Football Academy, Bokaro and the SAIL Day Boarding Volleyball Centre, Shibutand, Bokaro. Ex-employees of SAIL plants/units and other PSUs/Govt can also apply (provided they did not separate via voluntary retirement). Coaching experience of more than 15 years in the relevant sport is preferred.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Football Coach: 1 post (Bokaro Steel Plant)
• Volleyball Coach: 1 post (Bokaro Steel Plant)

Reservation: UR-01, SC-01 (across the 2 posts). Unit of posting: BSL, Bokaro.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (one of the following):
• Diploma or higher degree in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), OR
• Medal winner / participant in National Sports Events/Games representing an Indian state, OR
• Medal winner / participant in International Sports Events/Games representing India
• Coaching Experience: Preferably more than 15 years in the respective sports discipline, plus any specific certification/license required
• Nationality: Indian national
• Eligible Categories: Open to all eligible candidates including ex-employees of SAIL/PSUs/Govt (except those separated via VRS)

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 64 years as on date of advertisement (29 April 2026)
• The upper age limit for engagement under this scheme is 65 years
• Selected candidates must be medically fit to perform their duties

Salary

Consolidated monthly remuneration based on qualification (for 6 hours/day, 6 days/week):

• NSNIS Diploma / higher degree in Sports Coaching: Rs. 28,000 per month
• National Sports Events medal winner / participant (representing Indian state): Rs. 32,000 per month
• International Sports Events medal winner / participant (representing India): Rs. 36,000 per month
• Tenure: 1 year initially, extendable up to 3 years total (subject to upper age limit of 65 years)
• Other benefits: 10 days leave per year, TA/DA as per SAIL Travelling Allowance Rules-2021, medical benefits at unit hospital, company accommodation on payment basis (subject to availability)
• No HRA is admissible under this scheme

Selection Process

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 21 May 2026 at SAIL Football Academy, Sector 3, Bokaro Steel City
2. Medical Screening: Conducted after the interview
3. Document Verification: All certificates verified at the walk-in (originals + 1 set of self-attested copies required)

Engagement starts immediately after selection orders are issued. No TA/DA paid for attending the walk-in.

• Maintain training discipline and motivate cadets towards competitive performance
