Service Conditions and Caveats

• Trade duties: The descriptions above explain typical trade work. IOL defines the actual assignment by the technical needs of its project and capacity expansion programme.
• Tenure: The initial contract can run for up to two years. Extensions need a reason, satisfactory performance and approval, and may be granted for up to one year at a time within a five-year overall limit.
• Posting and transfers: Your initial workplace is OLF Dehradun. IOL can transfer you to another unit, project, office or work location anywhere in India.
• Employment status: The engagement is full-time and ends when its term finishes unless extended. It gives no right to regular employment or automatic continuation.
• Working hours: Work needs may involve duties beyond normal hours or on holidays. You must follow the company's attendance arrangements and approved leave rules.
• Ending the contract: The employee notice period is three months, while the company's is one month, with basic pay plus IDA payable instead of notice under the stated terms.
• Confidentiality: You must sign a non-disclosure agreement, protect work information and return company material when leaving. The confidentiality obligation continues after the engagement.
• Performance review: IOL assesses performance after six months and then annually. An Average or Poor rating brings a month to improve, followed by reassessment and possible termination with notice.
• Travel: Travel reimbursement for attending the practical test is limited to bus or train fare under applicable government guidelines.
