Prasar Bharati, India's public service broadcaster, is building a nationwide Marketing Executive team for its Sales Division. The executives will support advertising revenue for Doordarshan and Akashvani at stations across the country, combining local-market sales with coordination inside the broadcaster. These are full-time contractual assignments, not regular posts.

This role is aimed at people who can move comfortably between client meetings, market visits and internal planning. You will be expected to understand a station's sales target, prepare your own presentations and proposals, and turn relationships into repeat business. Media-sales experience is especially useful because the work involves matching client needs with the broadcaster's programmes, events and network reach.

The station list spans metro and non-metro markets, including Vijayawada, Raipur, Rajkot, Ranchi, Kochi, Leh, Nagpur, Jalandhar, Lucknow, Varanasi, Dehradun, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Tiruchirapalli. Your appointment will be linked to an assigned location, while the wider sales effort covers both Akashvani and Doordarshan services.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract status: the engagement is purely contractual and gives no right to absorption or regularisation in Prasar Bharati.
• Tenure: the initial engagement runs for two years. An annual appraisal may support an extension if the organisation still needs the role and your performance is satisfactory.
• Full-time commitment: you cannot take another assignment during the contract, and related work may be added when required.
• Targets: each executive takes independent responsibility for an allocated share of the station's sales goal while collaborating with marketing, programming, traffic and other teams.
• Early termination: either side may end the contract with one month's notice or one month's salary instead of notice, without giving a reason.
• Benefits: the engagement does not create a claim to pensionary benefits.
• Recruitment discretion: the organisation may change the number of positions at final selection according to its requirements.
• Travel for assessment: no TA or DA is paid for attending an assessment.
