MPKV, Rahuri has released a notification for 1 Skilled Helper post at its Biotechnology Laboratory, Division of Agril. Botany, College of Agriculture, Pune. The post is attached to a research project titled "In-vitro regeneration studies and mass production of quality planting material of red banana (Musa acuminata)", funded under the RGSTC Scheme. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual — you will be placed for an initial period of six months, which can be extended on a six-monthly basis depending on your performance and until the project/scheme ends. Candidates with 6 months of prior project work experience are preferred, though this is only a desirable qualification, not mandatory.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in a single stage:

1. Interview: Eligible candidates will be interviewed by a Selection Committee constituted for the purpose. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Note: This is a tenure appointment tied to the project. The university can terminate it at any time without assigning a reason, and you will not have a claim to permanency. You must work full-time at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Pune, and cannot hold another paid appointment during the contract period. If you wish to leave before your term ends, you need to give one month's notice in writing or pay one month's salary in lieu.

• Assist in day-to-day laboratory work for the in-vitro tissue culture and plant regeneration project
