Post-wise Duties

Project Associate I: Twin Tunnel Study

You will help with ecological surveys, camera traps, habitat assessment and GIS mapping. The work also includes analysing observations and preparing technical reports on construction impacts.

Cheetah Project Team

The Principal Project Associate will manage teams and plan field research, while the Senior Project Associate supports that work. Project Associate II leads field teams, and Project Associate I helps with field leadership, surveys, analysis and reports.

As a Project Assistant, you will coordinate activities across field sites, support the team and liaise with local administration. The notice describes demanding field conditions in remote places with limited facilities.

Project Associate I: Keoladeo

You will help the principal investigator with biodiversity surveys and ecological monitoring, including species identification and compiling field observations. This is mainly field work, with extensive travel to project sites.

Project Assistant: Nicobar

You will collect movement and habitat data, help obtain samples for population genetics and support field logistics. The work takes place in the Nicobar Islands, where field conditions can be demanding.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: Each engagement is initially for one year. Extension is described as likely for the twin tunnel study, the cheetah associate roles and the Nicobar role; do not assume an extension for every post.
• End of project: These posts end when the relevant project finishes. Institute rules govern your conduct and tenure.
• Multiple applications: You may apply for a maximum of two positions. Each needs its own online form, supporting material and payment.
